It’s time, once again, for an obligatory blog entry. This will probably be painful for you, but at least you can stop reading whenever you feel like it. I wrote this friggen thing.

Biggest news: the third release of ike_slideshow (demo demo demo). As per the usual, a new release of the thing took six relatively solid hours of dev work. In my defense (because it really shouldn’t have taken that long for what I did), Meryss distracted me until roughly 2:30am. Blast you, Meryss.

Heh. Kidding.

I’m writing this from Calc II Recitation. It seems to be a law, however obscure, that Isaac will not ever go to the right room first if class is held anywhere except its usual location in E1.

Looking at the weather. 72 degrees, which also happens to be the title of track 12 on The Colors in the Wheel – Venus Hum.

I can’t understand the TA. He’s Russian, I think, with an accent that jumps up and down in front of your face until you realize that it’s not quite opaque, and you can see through it if you squint a little.

It was a serious mistake not to get the calc book right away. Have I told that story? I ordered the book in mid August, and when it became obvious that the expedited shipping really wasn’t doing any good (I realized this last week), the seller issued me a refund for the entire order. Which was nice.

Predictably, the book arrived the next day.

Also predictably, it was the wrong book.

Which brings in the moral dilemma of what really should be done with the thing. I have a refund on my credit card for it, and while the refund on shipping is clear and above board (btw, they wrote the wrong zipcode on the shipping label), refund on the book… bleh. Should probably go back to the seller. If only because proceeds from the sale go to Africa or something.

Anyway. Moral of the story. Don’t wait two weeks after realizing you have the wrong book before ordering the correct book. Which I did. And I’m now thoroughly lost (no thanks to the TA’s enthusiastic Russian heritage), and have pretty much given tomorrow’s exam up for lost.

Worse could happen. Which reminds me – I need to pay my tuition.

addendum
More stuff added to photog. I’m having to disable the integration with pic2color – the bit that matches the color of the site with the photo at hand. Not that you care, but pic2color is just down a lot.
