on distant stars
Tuesday January 29, 2008
Please sleep, my darling, sleep
Your cry for inspiration / Never reaches ears on distant stars
And every night, our lonely planet / Slides across the universe
And I won’t pretend I understandPlease sleep, my darling, sleep
Your death by information / Won’t disturb the peace on distant stars
And even when you lock the doors / And slide behind the unlit shades
None of us saw strangers anymoreFall asleep with the windows open
Come to me with the worst you’ve said and done
You’ll close your eyes and see me
A little death makes life more meaningful
I stand no chance at all
Mondaymonday. Myst’s take on an mmorpg is available from GameTap, and Qtrax is opening open, as of an hour and ten ago. It’s kinda like Spiral Frog, only with 30mil in venture funding and a cool site.
This was actually the first monday of the semester, meaning the first web design class of the semester. We learned that, in JavaScript, variables are like different sized buckets. And that we will be talking about the differences between JavaScript and Java later on. And that if you design for IE7, you should probably check it out in Firefox 2. You gotta test.
Mmph. Bills have improved. A scholarship and a loan materialized without prompting, which is always a good time. And Bioshock’s a cool game, though I’m awful with shooters.
Family’s going to Italy. Rebtel – free international calls on your mobile. There’s even a how-to video – it’s a must-see.
Unexpected contact from another fork of the timeline, if that makes any sense.
Please, sleep my darling, sleep
Your car crash in slow motion / Won’t upset the pace on distant stars
And one by one the years of our lives / Stumble as the moments pass
So please hold on, please hold onFall asleep with the windows open
Come to me with the worst you’ve said and done
You’ll close your eyes and see me
A little death makes life more meaningful
I stand no chance at all
It was warmer today. Overcast and indecisive rain. Wind from over the lake, felt almost tangible.
So fall asleep with the windows open
