Song of the moment: Here We are, by Breaking Benjamin. Playlist is just a lot of decent albums thrown together. But I think that Zune’s shuffle is more intelligent than it lets on – it consistently manages to arrange the music into a contiguous-by-mood order. Which is strange – I have everything from Linkin Park to The Postal Service in here, and it’s all been quiet and grey thus far.
Call Me Constant played at the Bog tonight. (The Bog, for the uninitiated, is sort of an underground pub on campus. With a couple lanes of bowling, a couple 360’s and a Wii.) They were good, actually. Purevolume classifies them as indie/rock/progressive (nvm, Zune just played The Missing Frame), so if you like that sort of thing – Cartel, The Academy Is…, a touch (a small touch) of Modest Mouse… yeah. They’re releasing an actual album in the near future, but there’s a recordedinthebasement demo online if you’re curious.
But anyway.
Quick mention of Hacker Girls Like To Party, which (aside from having an excellent and probably very marketable name) would be the website of Alex Z. “Everyone, at one point or another, made a webpage with red text on a black background. Do not trust anyone who won’t admit it.” It’s so true.
The photo up top is by Celeste, while I’m lauding my contacts. Flickrflickrflickr.
I have nothing further. Happy Friday.
