(come awake)
Monday June 30, 2008
are we
left
here
on our own?
can you feel
when your last breath is gone?
night is weighing, heavy now
be quiet and wait
for a voice that will say
It’s been a while, for which I apologize to you, the fawning masses who daily, hourly visit in ever-persistent hope that I might someday deign to publish but a few words of my thought to the internets.
Aand with that sarcasm out of my system, hello.
you are not the only one who feels like the only one
night soon will be lifted, friend
just be quiet and wait for a voice that will say
rise, rise, to life, to life
Please listen to this song; mp3’s up yonder. Well worth your time.
Other things probably worth your time, largely via Anthony and stumbleupon (a formidable duo):

That last one, actually, is worth making an extended visit. The journal appears to be an ongoing compendium of general visual awesomeness.
I’m only wearing the right earbud, and Switchfoot likes to put vocals on the left channel for some reason.
Come awake, from sleep arise
You were dead, become alive
Wake up, wake up, open your eyes
Climb from your grave into the light
(bring us back to life)
And should any of you read this, the ones who have and will still keep holding on, thanks for humoring me. One of you in particular; you know who you are.
For the rest of you who don’t care so much care for this emotional nonsense and are simply here for the photog (blast you, Isaac), stay tuned – there’s a very large number of fireworks shots coming in the near future.
Cheers.
Shine
Light will shine
Love will rise
Light will shine, shine, shine, shine
He’s shining on us now
